The Old Dairy has been sympathetically restored retaining as many original features as possible, whilst introducing the comforts of modern living standards. Due to the nature of the building we regret that we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 16 or pets.

Enjoy the views across beautiful Swaledale from The Old Dairy, whatever the weather! Late Spring sees the start of a stunning display of wild flowers in the hay meadows throughout the dale and in Winter a blanket of snow or frost has its own beauty.

Breakfast is served in the dining room which has its original stone floor and a beautiful beam & plank ceiling. Investigations in this room found the opening where originally there would have been a Yorkshire Range and this now houses a welcoming wood-burning stove.

The guest lounge again features a stone floor and also has the original fireplace. Leather chairs and sofa make this a cosy and comfortable room in which to relax, read or make new friends.

Our three guest bedrooms all have stunning views across Swaledale and are equipped to ensure you have a comfortable and relaxing stay.

All beds have memory foam mattresses and we know from the appreciative comments from our guests, that you are guaranteed a comfortable night's sleep. We only use high quality bed linen for a really luxurious feel.

The hospitality tray offers you a choice of top quality beverages and all rooms have TV, clock radio and we can even offer you a foot spa to ease those tired feet after your day out walking!




Bedroom 1 is situated on the first floor, has a king-size bed and has its own full size private bathroom, with over bath shower.





Bedroom 2 is also on the first floor, has twin beds and it too has a full size private bathroom, with over bath shower.




Bedroom 3 is on the ground floor, has a king-size bed and has a generously sized en-suite shower room.

Luxurious fluffy white cotton towels and robes are supplied for your use during your stay.
